Atlantic Microwave appoints Taylor Pritchett as North American Sales Manager ahead of IBC 2019

Taylor Pritchett Atlantic Microwave Sales Manager North America

Atlantic Microwave, an industry leading provider of Satcom RF Test Solutions and RF and Microwave components and equipment, has appointed Taylor Pritchett as North America Sales Manager ahead of the world-leading broadcast convention, IBC 2019.

Taylor, who has worked at the organisation as Sales Coordinator for four years, will be expanding Atlantic Microwave’s presence within the vast North American satellite markets.

Taylor Pritchett commented: “North America has an immense presence within satellite communications - my ambition is to build on the great relationships we have with our current customers as well as introducing new contacts to the benefits of our products. Atlantic Microwave’s RF testing solutions are a valuable tool in the delivery of satellite communications. Our Test Loop Translators (TLTs) and Satellite Simulators give operators the tools to test signals extensively from anywhere, including; ground stations, SNG trucks and aircrafts, without the need for a live satellite connection. This provides significant cost and time savings as allows for analysis, alignment and testing without incurring satellite airtime costs and the risk of interfering with other satellite users.”

Atlantic Microwave will be demonstrating its range of equipment at IBC, including its Ka-band Satellite Simulator for RF testing on mobile satellite communications systems. The portable and cableless simulator features dual polarity for both uplink and downlink bands. It will be exhibited alongside its Ruggedised and Multi-Path editions.

Atlantic Microwave’s Test Loop Translator range which covers the S, C, X, Ku, DBS and Ka satellite communications bands, will also be exhibited at IBC. The translators feature fixed or Synthesised Variable Frequency Local Oscillators (LOs) to provide versatile and comprehensive operating configurations for translation of uplink (Tx) frequencies to either downlink (Rx) frequencies or to L-band, as well as L-band to downlink (Rx). The TLTs to be exhibited at IBC include the Manual, Bench Top and Weatherised versions.

Additionally, it will exhibit its LNI Series, a versatile and comprehensive test system, combining features from both its Ethernet Test Loop Translators and Noise Generators to allow users to test loop back systems with a noise injection to replicate field conditions for satellite dish set-up.
